Review: Hear No Evil (For The Money) M Huncho

M Huncho is a 29 year old rapper and trap music star from London. If you have ever seen a picture of him, you will notice he always wears a mask! Apparently this is to keep his life outside of music as normal as possible. Whatever the reason, it gives a real sense of mystery about the man.

Hear No Evil (For The Money) is an honest and open track that talks about people who depend on M Huncho now and in the past, but also the things that have been done to make money and survive in a life that is less than innocent. It has a feel of an underworld life that has caused pain in the past and still creates a sense of fear for many. This gives the track a dark undertone, one which could have been inferred from the title, but is definitely reinforced as the track progresses. With a song like this, it is the lyrics you need to listen to carefully to get the real intensity that M Huncho is putting across.

Musically, this is a tight track, with simple melody lines, a mix of rap and sung verses that gives this a very up to date and unique sound. The heavy synth backing allows for fast turns in the lyrics and occasional heavy bass booms to help the mood of the song be exaggerated to the audience. Hear no evil has already had a huge amount of online attention for a new single and I am sure that it will be another huge success for M Huncho.
