I'm In Love With You is the third single to be released from The 1975’s latest album, Being Funny in a Foreign Language. The band have been going now for 20 years, being formed in 2002, but have only really been a feature of the mainstream music scene for the last 10.

In a few weeks time I can envisage thousands of guitar players working through the guitar progression that opens ‘I’m in love with you. The bounce and pattern are really interesting and will catch the attention of new budding musicians. As the song builds, the introduction of vocals, synths and drums adds a lot to the overall feeling of the music. The melody is catchy, with backing vocals that are quite confusingly random in their presence, but because the main vocal is so strong, they add to the overall effect, as opposed to making it a mess. The song is very accessible to audiences, with appeal reaching old and new listeners.

You won’t be left trying to remember the name of this song, as the main hook is quite a feature of the entire production. Whilst that can be a disadvantage to some tracks, the overall piece is really interesting, and as a result, it works really nicely. The track was only released this week and is already receiving a lot of online streaming attention, so it is safe to say it will only add to the popularity of The 1975.
