by Adam Bailey

Finland’s most prominent music industry gathering Music & Media is turning 30 in October 2019. Having sold out in 2018, this year Music & Media is moving into its new and welcoming venue, Tampere Hall, on October 3-4, 2019. This year Music & Media expects to welcome more than 1000 music industry professionals, artists and media from Finland and abroad.

The two-day program is designed to bring new faces and fresh perspectives into the mix. Inclusive discussions on recent developments, listening trends, industry phenomena, mental health, rise of the young talent, along with well-acclaimed sync program are only a few of the highlights from the anniversary year’s program.– The goal of the seminar program is to send everyone off home motivated, geared up and recharged, full of ideas to develop their business and therefore music’s reach to people, says Music & Media’s CEO, Elif Tähtinen.

Music & Media is a vital networking hotspot for Finland, the Baltic and the Nordic music professionals with its curated international program by Music Finland with guests from around the globe. Music & Media’s Chairperson and Music Finland’s Head of International Riku Salomaa is excited about working on yet another productive program.– Music Finland and Music & Media aim at delivering tailored content for the industry to help companies boost their international businesses. Music & Media will be an effective networking platform and source of information for various companies within and beyond the territory. The seminar program will be followed by Lost in Music gigs in the evening, offering new music experiences to Music & Media delegates and the Finnish audience, this year with a wider scope of genre.

In the process of reinventing

During late 2017, Music & Media has been acquired by a new generation of owners: Tampere Hall, Tiketti, Sublime Music Agency and Rauha Kyyrö, founder of Fullsteam, chaired by Finland’s young and vibrant music export office Music Finland. In the process of reinventing itself, the event launches a brand-new design, a new website and a new venue, Tampere Hall, following a successful and crowded year in 2018. Tampere Hall is a familiar space to the Music & Media and Lost in Music goers.– Tampere Hall has hosted the fabulous Industry Awards Gala and the lively Lost in Music shows for many years in the past. The freshly renovated premises and its 70-strong-staff warmly welcomes the Music & Media delegates to Tampere Hall, says Paulina Ahokas, the CEO of Tampere Hall and a board member of Music & Media, and Elif Tähtinen adds:– Music industry is on an upswing and it is only natural that Music & Media is developing with it. We’re happy to be moving into a venue that provides us with the space and the resources to make growth happen.Join us to celebrate Music & Media’s 30th anniversary
