Glastonbury Line up to Feature Plenty of Female Acts

Glastonbury organiser Emma Eavis has hinted that the festival’s line-up will be brimming with girl power with female acts featuring heavily.

There’s no word of the line-up for this summer’s festival being confirmed as yet but Eavis has hinted that they will be showcasing more female acts than ever before.

"We are strong on women this year, I have to say," she said.

"The Park is my, kind of, baby. We get really extremely excited about what we put on there.

"Musically we're still keeping it as open as possible. We've got a great bill coming together. In fact, we're quite far down the line with that. Hopefully we'll be able to give you some names soon.

"There are loads of great female MCs coming through this year which is quite exciting. Little Simz and Lady Leshurr and people like that. There's a feeling in the Silver Hayes that a lot of exciting stuff will be happening over there. This is the crunch point with all our bookings."

While festival fans are eagerly waiting to hear who will be appearing, one thing is for certain – Ed Sheeran won’t be appearing on the bill.
He said: "The next festival I do will be headlining Glastonbury, but it just won't be this year.

"I want to be able to have at least three or four albums before I do it. There's not going to be an Adele-style break. I'm not having kids, I'm not getting married. But I won't be headlining Glastonbury."
