Paul McCartney and Lady Gaga Record Duet

It has been announced that Lady Gaga and Sir Paul McCartney have recorded a duet together.

It seems to be McCartney who orchestrated the collaboration with Lady Gaga saying: "Always a good time with my buddy. I'll never forget when he called me last year to work and I hung up the phone cuz I thought it was a prank!"

The track is as yet unnamed but is set to appear on the soundtrack for upcoming film High in the Clouds which is based on McCartney’s children’s book of the same name.

72 year old McCartney doesn’t seem to be showing any signs of slowing his career down in his older age. In fact, he only seems to be speeding up and is hanging around with a much younger crowd these days after recently recording duets with Rihanna and Kanye West.

The aforementioned duets caused the ultimate internet face palm after fans of West took to Twitter to applaud the rapper for promoting talent, despite the fact that McCartney has been around since before Kanye was even a twinkle.

The interesting thing about McCartney at the moment is that he seems to be surrounding himself with much younger talent, almost as if he is clinging to the desire to keep himself as relevant as possible.

You have to admire someone who has consistently and successfully moved around the music business for the last 60+ and the highly influential artist will always have a queue of people lining up to work with him but there must come a point, and soon, where he will have to slow down.
That will be a sad day for the music industry but sadly, inevitable.
