YouTube Announce Youtube for Artists Site to Gain Extra Exposure

YouTube have announced that they are launching new tools that will help new and emerging artists to gain exposure.

This is great news for new artists who are hoping to extend the reach of their music as the new YouTube for Artists site will have lots of different tools integrated within it that are all aimed at getting them known.

According to Google, who own YouTube, the site will guide artists to various resources available to help them promote their work on YouTube, and this will include tips about how to get discovered, how to engage fans, and how to generate revenue, as well as much more.

Something that will prove to be very important to emerging artists is the ability to use the site to start their own crowd funded campaigns as well as being able to sell merchandise, and it will even allow the ability to advertise upcoming shows.

These features have the potential to change the whole way that aspiring artists make themselves known in the business. With very little funding, it will allow them access tools that would otherwise be out of their reach and even more importantly, it will allow fans the opportunity for fans to directly help their growth in a much more tangible way. New fans will become much more engaged with artists right from the beginning which will help with longevity; something that many people in the modern music industry struggle with.

YouTube wrote on its Creator blog: "Success on YouTube leads to greater overall success as an artist, and on YouTube for Artists you can learn about all the current programmes we have to make that happen.

"That includes getting your YouTube views to lead to charting on Billboard, airtime on SiriusXM and NRJ in France, and free production resources at our YouTube Space locations around the world."

We can expect to see more high quality new music to come out of this new platform as it will allow artists to respond to what music fans want, working closely with them to perfect their art.
