Juliet was diagnosed in 2019 with the rare disease, idiopathic subglottic stenosis, which requires 1-2 surgeries a year on her trachea to keep her airway open.  “While most people don’t give the simple act of breathing a second thought, breathing means everything to me,” says Lyons.  Aside from the surgical necessity to dilate her airway, the operation always involves a risk of damage to her vocal cords.  “My doctor has managed to keep me singing thus far.  Every time I wake up from surgery and discover I can breathe well again - and still use my voice to sing - I am filled with immense gratitude.”  The risks and struggles have given her a sense of urgency to create and release music.  A full-length album, “Breath of Gratitude” is scheduled for a 2024 release.

Juliet’s body of work in the New Age genre is vast and filled with accolades.  Her album, “The Light Within” charted #3 on Billboard’s New Age Chart and won a Hollywood Music In Media Award for the song, “The Eternal Now (ft. Ron Korb).”

Her album, “NOVA: An Acoustic Journey,” in collaboration with John McLean Allan, charted at #1 on the iTunes and Amazon New Age Charts.  In 2022, she  collaborated with Grammy® Winners Deepak Chopra, Paul Avgerinos, and Kabir Sehgal on the meditative track, Identity.

It helps to breathe.

In addition to being a recording artist, Juliet stays busy with her full-time career as a singer/songwriter/composer for Film & TV.  Some of her many credits include Disney’s live-action Cinderella trailer, the films “Dog” and “Ghost in the Shell,” and over 300 television shows spanning “Real Housewives of Atlanta,” to “The Voice.”  She also has a popular YouTube channel (youronlinesingingcoach) and is actively involved with a variety of prominent and prestigious music organizations including the Recording Academy, the Society of Composers and Lyricists (SCL), the Alliance for Women Film Composers (AWFC), the Association of Independent Music Publishers (AIMP), and Songwriters of North America (SONA). “Staying busy in the music industry is a good thing,” says Lyons, “But it helps to breathe.”
